Basic Font Changes

Let's start with the basics:
There are several different ways to change how your font looks.
The simpliest changes are:

Bold Font.
Italic Font.
Underlined Font.
Strike-out Font.

Code: [Select]
Bold Font.
Italic Font.
Underlined Font.
[s]Strike-out Font.[/s]

LET'S ADD COLOUR!
There are two ways you can add colour to your font on the forum.

Adding colour is really easy.
COLOUR. COLOUR. COLOUR.

Code: [Select]
Adding colour is really easy.
COLOUR. COLOUR. COLOUR.

http://www.computerhope.com/htmcolor.htm
Is a great place for color codes. The full code must be used that includes the number sign (#).

Is a great place to find the names and color codes. Link provided by Six.

Next:
The next type of font change you can make is "glow". Although this option is available on the forum, it isn't widely accepted. Many forum members believe the "Glow" option is very harsh on the eyes. Let me show you.

GLOW. GLOW. GLOW. GLOW.
GLOW. GLOW. GLOW. GLOW.
GLOW. GLOW. GLOW. GLOW.
GLOW. GLOW. GLOW. GLOW.

Code: [Select]
[glow=red,2,300]GLOW. GLOW. GLOW. GLOW. [/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]GLOW. GLOW. GLOW. GLOW.[/glow]
[glow=#B93B8F,2,300]GLOW. GLOW. GLOW. GLOW.[/glow]
[glow=#488AC7,2,300]GLOW. GLOW. GLOW. GLOW.[/glow]

The glow font change is usually very hard to read. I tried to make some pretty glow options (the last two examples) to show you what you COULD do if you REALLY wanted to use glow. Make sure that when you do use the glow code that you use the "can I read this without highlighting" and the "does this burn my eyes when I stare at it for more than 5min" tests. If the font fails either test... change the colours.

Let's change the font size:
If you want to change the size of the font there are 2 ways you can achieve this.

This makes the font smaller and appear on a high invisible line.
This makes the font smaller and appear on a low invisible line.

This is what it looks like against normal sized font. sup. sup. sup.
This is what it looks like against normal sized font. sub. sub. sub.

Code: [Select]
This is what it looks like against normal sized font. [sup]sup. sup. sup.[/sup]
This is what it looks like against normal sized font. [sub]sub. sub. sub.[/sub]

This is the font size 20pt
This is the font size 30pt
This is the font size 40pt

Code: [Select]
This is the font size 20pt
This is the font size 30pt
This is the font size 40pt

The forum code is very precise so every time you want to change the font size you have to remember to put "20pt" and not just "20" it has to say "pt" which stands for point.

Let's add movement to the font:
This places the font to the left of the page. This places the font to the left of the page. This places the font to the left of the page. This places the font to the left of the page. This places the font to the left of the page. This places the font to the left of the page. This places the font to the left of the page. This places the font to the left of the page. This places the font to the left of the page.

This places the font to the center of the page. This places the font to the center of the page. This places the font to the center of the page. This places the font to the center of the page. This places the font to the center of the page. This places the font to the center of the page. This places the font to the center of the page.

This places the font to the right of the page. This places the font to the right of the page. This places the font to the right of the page. This places the font to the right of the page. This places the font to the right of the page. This places the font to the right of the page.

This makes the font moooooooooooooove. I like to move it move it. We like to move it move it. WE LIKE TO MOVE IT!
Code: [Select]
Left font.
Center Font.
Right font.
[move]Move font.[/move]

Let's change the font style:
The font face may appear changed on your computer
and not other members because every computer has it's own set of fonts
that it uses and accepts.

Code: [Select]
The font face may appear changed on your computer
and not other members because every computer has it's own set of fonts
that it uses and accepts.

Quote Boxes and Horizontal Rules:

Quote
Cooper says: I am in a quote box!! :D
There are also quote boxes that can be linked back to the topic that held the quote. It looks like this:
Herpderp.

Code: [Select]
Cooper says: I am in a quote box!! :D
And if you ever want to break up the text with a line straight across the page just use a horizontal rule.

Like the one above and below this sentence.

Code: [Select]
